Trading and dealing

NOMOS-BANK is one of the leaders of Russian financial markets and is constantly top ranked by rating agencies and media. NOMOS’ people are frequently awarded in different nominations by the industry’s professional associations. For example, in 2006 NOMOS-BANK was # 1 among Russian banks based on brokerage operations volume and corporate bonds and equities OTC trading volume.

NOMOS-BANK’ important role in domestic and international financial markets is widely recognized among partners and competitors. For the last several years the Bank has constantly been given numerous annual awards by Moscow International Currency Association. To name a few, NOMOS-BANK has been rated The Best Money Desk in 2003—2007 successively and The Best Forward Desk in 2007. NOMOS’ dealers have been named The Best Forex Dealer and The Best Money Dealer.

Debt Capital Market

As a major underwriter of rouble-denominated bond issues, NOMOS consistently retains strong positions among the top ten underwriters in the domestic debt market. The bank provides support to a broad range of companies and organizations raising debt.

In 2006 NOMOS was involved in 76 issuances of rouble-denominated bonds of Russian corporates, municipal entities and financial institutions. According to Cbonds agency, as of 31 December 2006 NOMOS ranked 8th among corporate rouble-denominated bonds underwriters and 10th in the list of top arrangers of bond issues for Russian corporates and banks.

According to Cbonds rating agency, in 2006 the Bank was # 3 among Russian underwriters by the number of issuances, and in 1Q 2007 it stepped up to the second position.

M&A

NOMOS-BANK launched M&A business in 2005, and managed to achieve strong results in this field within the limited timeframe. In 2006 the Bank participated in a number of transactions, financing M&As for clients in agricultural, shipbuilding, oil prospecting and other sectors, total amount exceeding $100 million. According to 2008—2009 business plan, a 3-fold growth up to $300 mln is expected.

Asset Management

Asset management is an important part of NOMOS’ investment banking strategy. The Bank’s asset management arm NM-Trust ranks among top-50 Russian asset managers by the amount of assets under management.

NM-Trust offers asset management services for different groups of clients, including institutional investors, individual clients and retail clients.
