NOMOS-BANK buys 79.1 tons of gold in 2009

In 2009, NOMOS-BANK bought 79.1 tons of gold, including direct purchases from gold mining companies, which exceeds the previous year’s figures by 22%. The amount of silver acquired by the Bank increased to 600.6 tons.

NOMOS-BANK also continued lending to gold mining companies: in 2009, following the upward trend in Russia’s gold mining industry, NOMOS-BANK increased the total volume of issued loans to circa 375 million U.S. Dollars.

Over the more than decade-long history of work in the market of precious metals, the Bank has made available to the gold mining industry a complete finance cycle — from geological surveying, prospecting, and mining of precious metals to their processing and subsequent sales including for export.

NOMOS-BANK is traditionally listed as a TOP-3 player in the Russian market of precious metals. In 2009, Moscow Interbank Association of Precious Metals Dealers recognised the Bank for the third year in a row as Best Bank in Russia’s Precious Metals Market.
