NOMOS-BANK buys 56.1 tons of gold in 2007

In 2007, NOMOS-BANK purchased from gold producers, including gold—mining companies, 56.1 tons of metal — 63% more than the year before. The amount of silver purchased by the Bank rose to 192.8 tons. Thus, NOMOS-BANK confirmed its status as a leader in Russia’s market of precious metals: traditionally, the Bank has been among TOP-3 players in the Russian precious metals market, purchasing over 20 per cent of gold and silver produced in Russia.

In 2007, the Bank sold to foreign partners 17.3 tons of gold and 152.4 tons of silver.

NOMOS-BANK also pursued active co-operation with gold—mining enterprises providing them with funding options for all stages of their business activity — from geological survey and prospecting to processing and export of precious metals. The Bank extended to the industry a total of USD 282 million in loans in 2007.
