NOMOS-BANK wins the annual 2007 “Finance.” Award

The influential business magazine “Finance.” presented NOMOS-BANK with its annual “For Dynamic Development in the Banking Market” award based upon 2007 performance.

During the III “Finance.” Annual Award Ceremony on 10 April, the magazine’s editor Igor Maltsev noted that over the year NOMOS-BANK had demonstrated high development rates, was energetically developing its branch network and retail business.

In her return speech, Irina Gordeeva, NOMOS-BANK’s First Vice President, stressed that she considered the award as public recognition of the Bank’s efforts over its 15-years history.

NOMOS-BANK is a universal network bank with branches in all major Russian cities. It is a TOP-20 Russian bank in terms of own capital and assets, and is placed among the most dynamic and fast-growing commercial banks in Russia. Preliminary data indicate that in 2007 NOMOS-BANK nearly doubled both its assets, which reached RUR 198.6 milliard, and its loan portfolio, which increased to RUR 132.1 milliard.

High growth rates marked other indices as well. The Bank’s own capital increased from RUR 15.5 milliard to RUR 24.7 milliard, net profit, based on preliminary calculations, was RUR 3.45 milliard (compared with RUR 2.3 milliard in 2006).

“Finance.” Annual Award is presented to organisations and individuals that demonstrated best achievements in the financial sphere based on the performance in the previous year. Traditionally, it is awarded to the best mutual investment funds, banks, insurance, asset management, investment, leasing, telecommunication and IT-companies, non-government pension funds and mass media. The award is not limited to companies and teams, bur may be also granted to the best financiers and legislators.
