NOMOS-BANK’s retail loan portfolio increases by 58.1% in H1 2008, while deposits grow by 37.2%

NOMOS-BANK has registered a significant increase in its retail business volumes in the first half of 2008. The Bank’s portfolio of loans to individual customers has grown over 6 months by 58.1% — to 12.98 milliard Roubles.

“The increase in the retail loan portfolio in the first six months of the year was largely due to an inflow of mortgage customers in the Bank’s regional branches, which has become the consequence of the intensive work focussed on attracting new partners among regional developers and the promotion of relations with construction companies”, stresses Anna Pankratova, Director of NOMOS-BANK Retail Business Marketing Department.

The mortgage portfolio’s volume increased by 77% since the beginning of 2008 reaching 9.15 milliard Roubles. The regional component in the portfolio rose by 44.4% to 7.28 milliard Roubles, and the mortgage portfolio at the head office grew by 19.9% to 1.56 milliard Roubles.

Customer deposits increased by 37.2% to 30.24 milliard Roubles.

The principal reason for retail deposits’ growth was the introduction in spring 2008 of an updated deposit line comprising all existing types of deposits — classic deposits, deposit accounts with an option of making additional deposits, deposit accounts that allow making both additional contributions and withdrawals.
