NOMOS-BANK redeems the second tranche of a syndicated loan totalling USD 185 million. A new facility to be obtained in October
NOMOS-BANK has redeemed the second tranche of a two-tranche syndicated facility in the amount of USD 93.25 million. Thus the Bank has fulfilled timely and in full its obligations with respect to the syndicated facility that was obtained in March 2007. Tranche one totalling USD 91.75 million was redeemed according to schedule on 20 March 2008.
The USD 185 million loan was extended in two tranches with 12 and 18 months maturity for the purpose of financing gold mining industry enterprises. The facility was arranged by Raiffeisen Zentralbank Österreich AG (Austria), ZAO Raiffeisenbank Austria (a subsidiary of Raiffeisen Zentralbank Österreich), Standard Bank Plc (United Kingdom), and Société Générale (France). In total, over 35 lending banks from Europe, Asia, Latin America and Russia have partaken in the deal.
Presently, NOMOS-BANK plans to obtain a new syndicated loan in the amount of 100 million U.S. Dollars in October 2008. The funds will be used for financing export and import operations of the Banks clients.
Since 2001, NOMOS-BANK has obtained 14 syndicated loans for a total amount exceeding USD 1 milliard, of which 7 facilities were used for financing gold mining industry enterprises. All loans were redeemed without delays and in full conformity with the terms of the deal.
NOMOS-BANK is a TOP-3 operator in the Russian market in terms of the volume of transactions with precious metals. In 2007, the Bank purchased 56.1 tons of gold and 192.8 tons of silver, including purchases from mining companies.
