NOMOS-BANK pays off $185 mln loan, new $100 mln loan planned for Oct

NOMOS-BANK has paid off the $93.25 million second tranche of a syndicated loan, thereby meeting all its loan obligations from March 2007, the bank said in a statement on September 23.

The first tranche worth $91.75 million was paid on schedule on March 20 of this year.

NOMOS-BANK plans to raise a new syndicated loan worth $100 million this October, the statement said. The funds will be used to finance the export and import operations of the bank’s clients.

It was earlier reported that the bank raised $185 million loan in two tranches to finance gold mining enterprises. Raiffeisen Zentralbank Osterreich AG, Raiffeisen Austria, Standard Bank Plc and Societe Generale organized the loan.

NOMOS-BANK was 14th largest Russian bank by assets in the first half of 2008 in the Interfax—100, compiled by the Interfax Center for Economic Analysis (CEA).
