Vneshekonombank Supervisory Board will examine at its next meeting three applications from banks for subordinated loans totalling 17 milliard Roubles, reports Interfax citing the state corporation’s chairman Vladimir Dmitriyev. VEB has received 60 applications from banks for a total amount of 98 milliard Roubles milliard, of which 27 (for 40 milliard Roubles) meet the criteria for submission of applications, — he said. Dmitriyev did not give the exact date of the meeting.

The state corporation (VEB) has already received applications for loans from “Alpha-bank” for $400 million, “Transkreditbank” — for 1 milliard Roubles, “Ursa Bank” — for 3.5 milliard Roubles, and “Trust” (the sum is not disclosed).

“Gazprombank” wants to apply for 15 milliard Roubles. “We are discussing this issue with the shareholders and expect to finish these negotiations in December,” — Interfax cites “Gazprombank” Deputy Chairman Alexander Sobol. “Uralsib” has already submitted an application for a subordinated loan for 1.5 milliard Roubles, informed the news agency citing the principal shareholder of the bank Nickolay Tsvetkov.

NOMOS-BANK announced yesterday that it had obtained a subordinated loan for 5 milliard Roubles from Russia Finance Corporation, which represents the interests of the Czech PPF Group, and submitted an application to VEB for 4.9 Milliard Roubles.

The majority of banks do consider applying to VEB after increasing own capital. “Uniastrum Bank”, “Delta Credit”, “Master-bank”, and “Promsvyazbank” earlier announced plans to increase capital via additional issue of shares.
