Russias NOMOS-Bank buys back Eurobonds worth $35 mln
Russias NOMOS-Bank has bought back U.S. $35 million worth of bonds, the banks press office said Tuesday.
NOMOS-Bank bought back around 10% of a $150 million Eurobond issue maturing on May 12, 2009, and 10% of a $200 million Eurobond issue maturing on February 2, 2010.
The bank decided to use its spare liquidity to support the two bond issues, Roman Pivkov, the head of the banks investment division, was quoted as saying.
The bank also has the third outstanding Eurobond issue worth $125 million maturing on October 20, 2016.
NOMOS-Bank, established in 1993, provides corporate, investment and private banking, as well as retail services. As of June 30, the banks assets amounted to 233.221 billion rubles and shareholders equity amounted to 31.917 billion rubles under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
